A very experienced, international public artist who has carried out prestigious commissions in Britain and Europe. He works in a variety of media including bronze, stone and wood as well as pioneering a new way of working with concrete to create truly unique sculptures. Location: GCHQ, Cheltenham
Commissioned by The Government Communications Head Quarters in Cheltenham as a memorial to Signals Intelligence officers, killed in action. The twice lifesize bronze reliefs depict both service personnel and civilian workers, of both genders, connected to the work at GCHQ. On the reverse face are the seven names of personnel that it commemorates. It stands in the central courtyard of GCHQ and is astrologically positioned to face relevant constellations. It is also positioned to cast a symmetrical shadow at 11:00 on the 11th November.
